For those that have had previous raku experience with Chu Chu this drop-in pack includes:

  • 9 hours of raku drop-in class time (options to purchase more if needed)
  •  12.5lbs of clay (max 6 med size pieces)
  • shelf space for work in progress and clay
  • raku firing with glazes
  • light lunch and snacks on firing day

*if you are to raku firing, on your first drop-in day, I will show you the perimeters that you will need to follow for your pieces.  Previous experience handbuilding or wheel throwing is mandatory, this is not for those with little experience in clay.

Options to handbuild or wheel throw, all raku clay waste must be separated and disposed of and not mixed in with regular studio clay.

All bisqued raku pots must be taken home by students and not stored at the studio.

Each person will be able to make multiple pieces.  Please note that raku pottery does not hold water and is not food safe, decorative purposes only.

It is your responsibility to finish your work and allow enough time for drying/bisque firing.  Recommended that your finished work be on the "to be bisqued" shelf by the first week of March.

Revitalizing Chinatown

In the fall of 2024 I embarked on a new and exciting venture, opening up a shop in Chinatown!

This shop will feature so many goodies and support the local creative community in every way possible.

The goal is to be the bridge between the existing Chinatown neighbourhood with the new, everyone will be welcomed in my space.

Exciting artist work features on a rotating schedule, my favourite pottery tools on sale for my students, super affordable craft art kits for teachers and more!

The shop had a soft opening in November during the Eastside Culture Crawl and the grand opening will be in mid-January.

Come check out what's on offer!
